Choice of Through The Door or Surface Mount.

The DK8 has two engraving areas, the rectangle on the body and an oval area on the clapper. The rectangle on the body is 1/2" by 3" which is not very high for the width offered.

This limits some of the engraving options because a descender can make the overall work smaller than it normally would be. For this reason I prefer all caps on this door knocker for the body area.

The oval clapper area is well proportioned and has a nice size for one or two words of engraving. It works well if two words are placed on two lines.
