Antique Copper Door Knocker Selection
Our antique copper finish is produced on our solid brass castings. The first step is to polish and satin the brass casting to the desired finish. The casting is then copper plated and then polished again.

The copper plated door knocker is placed in a special oxidizer that darkens the surface. The door knocker is again polished to expose the copper surface below leaving the highlights darkened.

This surface provides great contrast for engraving.

Our antique copper closely resembles many manufacturers antique bronze. Copper plating is applied under an oxidized surface on our solid brass castings.
